Steelman Rotary Converters offer three phase power when only single phase power is available. Our converters are available in ODP (Open Drip Proof) and TEFC (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled) versions. We build light duty models for motors starting unloaded as well as heavy duty models for starting under loaded conditions.
230V Rotary Converters are available in Open Drip Proof and Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled models with Light Duty and Heavy Duty versions.
460V Rotary Converters are available in Open Drip Proof and Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled models with Light Duty and Heavy Duty versions.
Why Choose a Steelman Rotary Converter?
We offer a Stagger-Start option on our multiple piece converters for inrush current reduction. We also offer an optional contactor and an Automatic Control option on our converters for remote operation of the unit. Terminal Blocks for large motors (TB1 or TB2) can be added to remove some of the capacitors when smaller loads are to be operated by themselves. Rain covers (3R) can also be added to the ODP converters if they are to be placed outdoors.
